Actually, Dan, you're probably right. In the U.S., Prince used to have more fams in the 80's, but after that there was more of a dedicated fanbase in Europe.
But what about in Japan? Isn't P worshipped there too? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Not in MPLS of course! But there are some of us that know the REAL DEAL!!! "So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.

Now everybody knows it's California, especially the Bay Area. The most influential people in his musical career are from here too. Sheila E, Wendy & Lisa (I believe), and of course the great Larry Graham-- you can thank us later. Anyway, the fans out here show much love. The only rivals are Detroit and perhaps a few European cities.

Someone should come up with a survey to find the biggest Prince fan - like you get in magazines. Something like this:
2 points for every original Prince album you own (not including multiple copies/multiple formats) 1 point for every original single/maxi-disc/12 inch you own. 1 point for every concert you've attended 2 points for every aftershow you've attended 1 point for every year you've been a member of the NpgMusicClub - maximum 3 3 points if you own a Cloud guitar Anybody think of any others 'questions' that would seperate the hardcore fans from casual fans? I'm not including bootlegged stuff because you could download that stuff easily and not be really a hardcore fan. Add the points up and who has the biggest total wins the accolade of being biggest fan - of course it depends on people being honest.
