The inherent problem of being a a hardcore fan is that it's hard to stay objective and make the right decision. "to join or not to join/ to support or not to supprt"... that's the question.... I have made the decision not to join and hand over any more dollars as long as the club is run as shitty as it is. Because I don't want to spend my dollars on something that just isn't right, even if it's only $25. It's a matter of principle. That was not an easy decision, because I truly believed in the stated goal of the NPGMC as proclaimed by Prince for many years: A place where he could release all those gems and cut out the middlemen. Well... If they're gonna charge again for a renewel of membership, I'm not gonna do it anymore. That is, until they have a product to offer that is actually being released. There'll still be enough time to join at that point. And yes, as much as it sucks, we have been conned. For an artist who used to shout about "no ceilings" and freedom 24/7 for years on end, it sure is some weird ass shit to then charge $25 for ACCESS to his website. I mean, how fucked up is that anyway? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
