Well Actually there's two versions 2 this song, The rapping version were P spells out the word "BIG" and the singing version, were he sings most of the lyrics. I like this song, cuz I think it's silly. It sounds like Prince was just playing around with some lyrics and finally decided 2 put some music 2 it. I'm just wondering, who's he singing about

This has always been one of my favorite outtakes. Really classic Prince from start to finish.

Is that a control issue? Mediocre song, glad it was never officially released. I propose Song of the Day should actually be Storm (Gonna See You Through). Would have fit very well on For You and the music is not half-baked.

I have caught myslef singing this damn song over and over at times,but it isn't a "classically" good song.it really is a bunch of crap,to be honest.Somehow,Prince makes me sing the damn thing,though.I only listen because I loved his weird drum sounds and stuff back then.


On another note,P has some SERIOUS insecurities and issues.Some evil sides to him.Why would you want to lock a woman away.He tells us about this crazy side in songs like this and xtraloveable where he talks about rape.Ok,some think it's cute and even I excuse it because it's funky,but it is a serious hint at something wrong.

I think If I was Your Girlfriend is brilliant.However,if I make a cd for some "real" sistas and let them hear these lyrics from the above songs they would move their heads and say,"He crazay!!"

Sorry Lisa , I was harsh on Big Tall Wall, I just think of it on the Lovesexy record and I shudder (I think it was an outtake from that). Curious to what were the outtakes from For You? I can think of She's Just A Baby, maybe?

If that's true, yeaah, he had some...erm..."neediness" in him. I wouldn't say that "If I Was Your Gilfirend" hints at anything being wrong with him upstairs, in fact, I think that there are plenty of people out there that can relate to the general gist of the song.

And maybe he wrote "Big Tall Wall" after being in a fight (they had many), we all say and do things while we're fighting that we don't really mean.

I wouldn't take the lyrics to "extralovable" that seriously...he was being a silly 24 year old throwing around a word he had no buisness using.

ive only heard it once.and the quality was really bad i remember(i deleted the mp3 shortly after).it sounded like an alright song...but it just needs to be around in better quality.
