Time for an Autobiography?

It just struck me that i don't really know that much about Prince.I know what music inspired him and who his influences are as they are well documented, but small things like his favourite TV shows and what books (apart from the New Translation) or movies he's into, i don't have a clue.(I'm guessing he might likes sci-fi cause didn't he go watch Minority Report with a bunch of fans?)

Did he ever do any interviews in the old days stating what he grew up on. I know it seems trivial but it'd be nice to hear these things. His seriousness and mysteriousness wore a bit thin a long time ago, it'd do him good to open up and humanise himself in a book.

What do you think? Agree or not?

Yeah, i could see a book at the moment being one big boring religious lecture, but would you like him to if in the future he leaves the JW's?

I think that Alan Leeds could write one hell of a book on Prince.

He seems to be the most level-headed and objective of anybody ever interviewed from the purple clan

As far as Prince, himself writing a book.....hell naw.
I think it's fairly obvious he would glorify EVERYTHING; making the hahn book more of a reliable source
Not a good idea

Totally agree.

One of the things - IMO - that makes an autobiography or biography an interesting and insightful read is reading about the subject's strengths..*AND* about their faults and flaws and hardships and how they dealt with those (and no I'm not talking about 'dirt' or 'gossip' about them. I mean being presented with as completely rounded a picture of the person as possible)

I like to read honest accounts of people's lives and careers, and subsequently being able to see them as real human beings who lead real, albeit extraordinary, lives.

If Prince himself wrote his autobiography, what faults or human frailties would he admit to? None. And to me that would make the book an empty experience.

(I also agree about Alan Leeds being a good one to write a book about Prince.)
