Best Prince bootleg?

I wanna start buying some Prince bootlegs but I don't know where to start. I'm especially interested in Prince's tours from 1980-83 or thereabouts, because of Vanity 6 and the other related artists..I was reading about a boot called "The Homecoming" on allmusic.com, is it any good? What would you suggest?

I still think one of the best bootlegs is from the aftershow in Holland (2 CD set - can't think of the name now, but surely someone else will help out). Goovy, and great sound. "LAS VEGAS STYLE". Well known, so should be easy to get (if I could only remember the name).

There's a DVD called "Revelations 2.0" with all his studio outtakes from 1976 to 2002, in mp3.

Yes the "Small Club" bootleg is widely regarded as the best. I agree, but everyone has their own opinion.

I wouldn't count "City Lights" as one pick. There are 8 or 9 shows in there. If you want to go that route, I'd pick the 2002 Celebration 12 CD set as the best bootleg. But as far as one show goes, it is Small Club.

If you can get Small Club, do it. Then try to get anything from all eras (1999, Parade, Lovesexy, etc.). Then outtakes like Deposition, Fantasia, Dreams, Dream Factory, etc. That's it!

Don't know alot of these by names... so forgive me is this stuffs listed already.

Perfect quality copys of his Prince tour in 1979 at the time he toured with Rick James...great sound and a very early look inside his genius. And say the Controversy stuff...not 2 leave out Dirty Mind stuff but I'm speaking of what I own, *cough...I mean came across that is.

I wouldn't say jewel box

at one time itw as the best outtake scollection around
(if not the only)

but many surpass it these days

The work 20 disc set is the most comprehensive

but there is Dreams, Deposition, H20, Platinum -
many of those collections are 2/3 disc sets.

The best one is his 1987 bootleg, The Black Album, which was released in 1995. It's very pity.

I used to buy bootlegs until I discovered music downloads. Now I no longer have to pay $21 per CD.
