Can anyone tell me more about the following tracks? Talkin' Loud & Sayin' Nothing
Sweet Thing I'll Never Be Another Fool Don't Talk 2 Strangers. What are they? Where did they originate from? Any info would be gratefully received. | |

"talkin' loud..." and "sweet thing" are both cover songs (james brown and chaka khan, respectively)...the other two i ain't too sure on. | |

Don't Talk was on Chaka's last NPG release. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I'll never be another fool was also on Chaka's NPG release.
Don't Talk to Strangers was originally done by Prince on the "Girl 6" soundtrack. I've heard a boot of Prince doing "I'll never be another fool" and it cracked me up when Prince sang "I'll never open my legs again to a man who's insecure"

Don't Talk 2 Strangers is on the "Girl 6" soundtrack, and Chaka covered it on "Come 2 My House". | |

Come 2 My House is a little gem from 1998.
I'll Never Be Another Fool is a favourite of mine, along with Democrazy (latter reminds me a little of Sleep Around). The album has that New Power Soul/Emancipation-era sound to it - but is definately worth picking up.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'Eye'll Never B Another Fool' was co-written by Sandra St. Victor and was one of the five songs that she shared with Prince under its original title, 'I'll Never Open My Legs'

DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS is on the boot called Platinum. It was part of the I'll Do Anything sessions(music for a movie with Nick Nolte). | |
