Into The Light / I Will appreciation thread. I love these two tracks, particularly Into The Light and the way it blends into I Will... definately the saving grace of the album.

I remember when 1st listening to 'C & D', I sat through half of 'I Will' thinking it was still 'Into The Light'.
...two of the best tracks on the album.

These two songs merge very well together I couldn't listen to them separately... just like "Mellow" and "1+1+1 is 3"

Both those songs are two of my favorite songs and IMHO two of the BEST songs Prince ever did. The sax, the piano, the guitar...as Christopher Walken would say...WOW WEE WOW WOW!! To this day, I still choose to believe it works just as well as one single track. . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

I agree. I consider them one song. The tracks between "Dinner" and "Into The Light" and the tracks after "I Will" drag the LP down. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

The way they blend into one another sorta reminds me of the end part of the equally divine Circle Of Amour.

I'm not a big fan of "Into the Light," but that crash blend into "I Will" is sublime! The building and sudden release of emotion has brought me to tears at least once. And "I Will" is a great song. One of Prince's best musical moments of the 90s, IMO. [This message was edited Thu Jan 8 23:03:31 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I'm partial to the "I Will" part... This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Beautiful songs, both of them. Nice segue inbetween the too also. I don't know why everyone keep shating on this album. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.
