Question re: The Purple Trilogy DVDs to be released in August

Seems like everything I'm reading concerns a UK or Europe release...is this definite at this point for a U.S. release? If so, what's the date? I wanna start countin' the days, like Frankie Beverly without Maize...motherfucker, I'll count the days.

Um, okay...wow, I made a mistake. That sure is goddamned hilarious. I knew it was the name of the group he was in - I just misspelled it. Thanks for adding all that valuable information to this thread, though. wink

C'mon, anyone? I bet the states will get the shaft b/c of some weird contractual thing.

With a multi-region player, it doesn't matter when it comes out in your territory.

I think the US will get it prior to the UK or Europe as usual...
But don't worry it'll get a US release nonethless...
It's WB doing it so it's obvious that they'll get a worldwide release, plus the fact that these haven't been released on DVD before (except for "Purple Rain" of course...)

Neversin, thanks for calming my fears. I wish this shit was coming out in like late January or something. Is it August yet?

I know what you mean man... I haven't seen "Under The Cherry Moon" in, like, 7 years or so... And I remember the last time I saw it I still loved it...
It's a crap movie yes, but damn it just takes me back to when I was a kid man... That good summer of 1986, "Mountains" and/or "Girls And Boys" every hour on TV or the radio... At home listening to "Parade" which I bought from my allowance... Killing my "Mountains" 12" in a week and then begging my parents to buy me a new one... Hehehe...
Back then it was good to be a kid and love pop-music...

Wasn't it though? I still remember staring at the cover of the Parade LP and watching the Paisley thing on the label spin round and round on the player...and I remember the first time I heard Mountains, DAMN.

I remember feeling SO WARM AND COZY listening to that record...'specially Mountains. This is when I fell in love with horns. This is why I stick with Prince no matter what. That song is crucial to my development as a human being.
