Prince on SACD?

I've just ordered a new Denon DVD-2900 player which can play SACD's. Of course the next thing I did was search for Prince albums in this format. I came up empty...almost.

Diamonds and Pearls keeps showing up that it was released on SACD, but I've not yet found a single person or place selling it.

Any ideas how/where/when I can purchase Prince albums (D&P in particular) on SACD?

Thanks for the help!

Apparently D&P was the only Prince SACD produced. I think that Neversin(?) may be able to help you with more details...

As far as I know there are no Prince releases in either the SACD or DVD-A format.

WB are pretty committed to DVD-A so I don't know why there would be a SACD release of D&P - any info much appreciated though!!!

The page is in Russian, but here is the D&P SACD.

Or even on amazon.com

The link I posted came up dead...just search on Amazon under popular music..."Diamonds and Pearls". Scroll on down, and there it is. Unavailable, but there.

I'm sorry people but this is not a SACD release - this page is incorrect.

The Amazon link is dead (at both .com and .co.uk) because there is no such release - damn I wish there was.

I'm all over hi-rez releases and would've picked up this right away if it were true.

Nope. They released "Tutu" on DVD-A. Sony did release some Miles Davis albums on SACD, though:

I did indeed try to search for the answer before posting a new thread. I'm a newb to this group, but not to message boards in general. Sorry for bringing up an old topic.

OK...I just went through and read that old thread. I believe you that it does exist. Now the important question is - how do I get a copy?

Thanks.

Warner Music Hong Kong frequently release stuff on SACD.

The presumption in the other post that SACD may have been around longer than we all suspected may be true... This page mentions CD technology at trade fairs as far back as 1977!!! http://www.oneoffcd.com/i...torycd.cfm
