i think he was on drugs or something, the kid was completely gone. even the band members on stage didn't know how to deal...i think James Brown even stepped back to prevent getting caught in the cross-fire. "Prince you lose, MJ wins,...come back when you slow ya roll!"

The Problem with the Performance was...

James Brown's Band!!! Were they all on COKE!!! PCP??? Free Base??? Because they were playing like 170 beats per second

NO ONE not even Prince could put interesting guitar licks in between all that fast garbage.

James should have slowed it down and give him a simple drum beat and let Prince do his magic

Most embarrassing thing I've ever seen. Knocking over the "streetlight" just added icing to the cake. Actually, they both sucked, and were clearly in too much awe of James Brown to do anything but wish they had stayed in their seats.
