Prince writing for Bernedette Cooper??

If anyone out there has Bernedette Cooper's cd "Drama According To Bernedette" can you check to see if Price wrote the song "The Agency Sent Me." I know she thanks him several times in the insert but I was just told he wrote that song...I just wanna verify. Thx in advance~

I think I still have 'Madame X' by 'Madame X' on vinyl from the 80's.

I remember thinking that both the sound and the concept of a 3 girl group (with someone else behind the project) seemed Prince-influenced.

I have that too & I agree, I particularly love 'Not that type of Girl' which was my reason for buying it in the first place.

I think this kind of mistake shows the depth of Prince's influence on funk. Nearly every artist that was doing funk and dance oriented R&B was getting something from the Minneapolis Sound: the keyboard sound driving traditional horn lines, the drum machine, or the nasty rythym guitar.

Bernadaette was buddies with Teena Marie at the time - who is on that album. I have a tape of her with Teena on the old Video Soul show when punk ass Dinnie Simpson was the host.

Shoot... I had made a tape of Madame X from someone back in the day...and the tape was like a little bit sped up so I got used to hearing it that way.

I even had a poster of Madame X in my dorm room!

I've been trying to find that on CD for a long time...I love that album... and Bernadette Cooper rocks!
