I lent VBOP to a friend who likes it and wants more, in the form of another compilation rather than an album. Can anyone suggest a tracklist for a best of Prince CD excluding the tracks on VBOP?

the closest thing would be the hits/the b-sides...that, or you could create your own compilation for your friend.

this should be interesting...we are about to see 1,000 differrent suggested track listings for each orgers own "Best of Prince"

... Thats sort of what I'm hoping for. I can tally up the suggestions and stick on the most popular ones. I thought abput using the Hits compilations as a guide but I don't have all of the songs and I'd probably want to stick some good album tracks on as well (ANOTHERLOVER... maybe.)

I think the fun is in creating your own tracklist and letting your own imagination and tastes wander for a while.

Make a B-sides and extended/remixed versions compilation.
