I say Lovesexy. It's a solid, singular statement while the Black Album has always struck me as a disjointed collection of inconsistent songs -- some very funky; some rather boring and self-derivative. [This message was edited Sun Jan 4 8:43:59 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I really like Lovesexy (i have about 3 or 4 copies) but i've never understood what all the fuss was about, it was a rush released sugar coated concept album which only generated a point of interest from it's artwork, whereas the Black album had none and a killer jazz masterpiece thrown in for good measure and also made prince a name to drop in interesting conversation at that time, PLEASE NOTE nothing was the same after Lovesexy was realeased. To quote you Lovesexy is a 'singular statement', for heavens sake how annoying is it having 1 track on a cd? sorry

It's a close call but I go with The Black Album, just for sense of humor alone. Lovesexy has some incredible music, including what I think may be one of Prince's best songs, but I listen to the Black Album more often.

LoveseXy - Im not even gonna explain why.
'Cuz it doesnt matter which is 'better' - ur kinda missing the point if u think that. They're both 2 sides of the same coin anyway: (light & dark, black & white etc etc - natural opposites, like everything else in life.) It's what U take from it that counts.
