"D.M.S.R." and I: What Th' Fuck??

first of all, i just wanna wish all the regulars here on the m & m forum a happy new year!!! party

now--i got a bit of a story for ya'll. i went to first avenue last night for their new year's eve party, and sumfin funny happened. check it out:

i was with a bunch of my friends who i had met up with for the night. at one point, i walked over to the v.i.p. lounge (i don't understand why it's called the v.i.p. lounge...anybody can go in, y'know) to see what the dj in there was spinnin. usually they're spinnin dance & house music in there, but last night they had a little mini-prince dance mix goin on in there. they were playin sheila e's "a love bizarre" when i stepped in. i was all like, "ohmigod, i gotta tell the others! they're playin prince stuff!!!" so i ran and told everyone else, we all went back to the lounge and danced our asses off for a few minutes. anyway, we were all in a little circle n'dancin around, mouthin the lyrix to the songs, shakin our tailfeathers n'all that...

there was this woman and her date dancin nearby us, and they both kept bumpin into some of us. the woman was obviously very, very drunk cuz she kept trippin over her own feet while dancin and her date kept pullin her back up at times. the dj was playin "d.m.s.r." at one point, and during the song she fell down on her back and hit her head on the floor. she went down pretty fuckin hard, cuz even with the music blarin you could still hear her head hittin the floor. my friend darin (endorphin74 here on the org) was like, "she's gonna be feelin that in the morning!" i bet she's feelin it right now, too...poor thing. a hangover and a huge goose egg on the back of her noggin, both courtesy of first avenue. eheh.

...thing of it is, it seems like every time i'm at a party and "d.m.s.r." gets played, there's always some girl on the dance floor who is totally not with it! i remember i was at another party and there was this chick who was dancin to the song like 5 times too fast! it's like, "slow the hell down, man! it ain't that fast of a song!!!" lol

"d.m.s.r."...i love it to bits, but that song and i make strange bedfellows for some reason. i wonder why...eek

From now on, everytime 'D.M.S.R' comes on...u should just run out the room to avoid people getting hurt/losing their sense of rhythm. lol

C'mon, tell the truth. You were the woman who fell. And you have a big goose egg. And you can't remember how you got home. And it wasn't D.M.S.R, it was La Vida Loca. And it wasn't endorphin74, it was Natasha. And it wasn't First Avenue, it was your neighbors garage...

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

lol That poor, poor girl.
If there's one track to fall and smack your head on the floor to - it's gotta be D.M.S.R woot!

On a side note - I was in a club one night and Gett Off was being played, and some guy pissed out of his face was up dancing and fell into the DJ booth, and make the cd start skipping.
Was too funny...unfortunately,...it...was...me nod

I was actually just driving past and was stuck at the light when the ambulance was trying to get through. I had to go to the saloon. Boy am I glad that won't happen again soon.

Believe me you would have seen me. I would have been the short jew-girl standing in the corner of the lounge NOT dancing. (Ijust sort of bounce) I have no rhythm and I know it. My girlfriend says I look broken when I try to dance.
