What are the deleted scenes from Purple Rain. Confirmed that is!! I've heard of some, but do you folks have a list of them?

Ive seen with mine own oeyes:

1.when he is terroroizing morris and app in th e alley--its extended..he goe s by htem a few extrra times before kicking morris in th e trash

2.that "not" lake minnetonka scene has a few more bits aded dialogue

App-"you were great last night"

Prince-"I just got lucky"

etc.

also

In the opening lets go crazy montage where it shows the freaks and their dress face close ups...well theres more freaks added


when Apollonia and Prince get off the motocycle after kicking Morris to the curb into the trash and he almost slaps her again for drinking out of the flask, Apollonia gives a speech about giving him something (love) and that Prince through it all away-and then she throws the hoop ear ring down

It shows Apollonia gazing at a woman wearing a wedding gown in the mall right befofe prince comes and dmeands that she gives her the bracelet thats on her boot

and in the non lake minetonka scene, again, he states that "most people dont show" on his nights etc

I think there's yet another version floating around but this this is the only one I could find

the "Lets Go Crazy" video had some scenes of Morris that were not in the movie

One take that was filmed of Morris and Prince in the "Alley Scene" has Morris calling Prince a "pencil prick" instead of "long-haired faggot".

This was not in the script.

i have a scene where the kid bursts in2 the times rehearsal with apollonia 6 & then gets in2 a fight with jellybean.the kid punches jellybean in the piehole and then jellybean body slams his ass!HOPE ITS ON THE NEW DVD COMING IN AUGUST...

Footage has been afloat many years undetected.

I don't think any footage is out on the blackmarket to purchase. I think it is all going to show up on the Purple Rain DVD coming out in August.

At the end of Purple rain when they show the credits they play a sample of every song that was in the movie in the order that they were played. well right before they play the let's go crazy sample there is a small snippet of the outtake (funk) instrumental that was on the vinyl three record bootleg jewel box. I don't know the name of this song, but it's possible that this was used as an opening credits scene that might have gotten cut out of the movie. You guys might remember that this was a movie that only had the film's title as the opening credits. I have never seen this done before or since PR. Every movie starts off showing the screen play writer(s), producers, the main stars and almost always the last credit is the director. I think this was cut out of PR set to the music of that instrumental.
