Are you with your partner because of Prince?

I was just about to walk out of the pub and the band started to play 1999. So I stayed, the band finished, the singer bought me a drink, we started to talk ... now we are married.
Thanks Prince!!!

LOL I've left out the boring bit (... = he asked if he could call me, I didn't give him my number, he tracked me down anyway and called me, asked me out on a date, etc.) you are reading into it with your own dirty mind!

When I complained about having issues with the chatroom on NPGMC, I got a private note from Prince promising me something special by way of apology. I was very excited but didn't know what to expect. Would it be unreleased music, released music which I already had, merchandise or just a nice bottle of wine? No, it was a Russian mail order bride. Needless to say, I was a little surprised when she turned up but I've been very happy ever since.

I was honestly with my last partner because of Edie Brickell and New Bohemians, believe it or not.

My wife asked me out to the 1984 Purple Rain concert and I told her no because I was dating and taking someone else.
She went with a friend but persisted to ask me out.
We were friends for about 5 months as I was still dating the same person and we always talked about Prince. After I stopped seeing this other girl, we started spending more time together and dating for 5 years.
Then we got married. Our weeding songs were Adore and Slow Love smile

Now 13 years later we have 2 girls.

Thanks Prince.

She's not that much into Prince anymore but will listen to my stories.

Hope this doesn't sound to silly but...

The girl I was dating at the time looked alot like Vanity.

And my wife used to get the Apollonia look alot from other people when we were dating...

Hot Damn!!

My ex, or current guy(he's so trying to be back in my life) damn...(we can't leave each other alone)always had a Prince evening every weekend. A couple of bottles of wine, a few prince records...especially the scandalous sex suite, and the rest is history.

When we first were seeing each other I used to listen to the Rainbow Children while waiting for him to get back from the club. (Dating a DJ is sometimes not what it's cracked up to be). smile But that is one of my fave albums because it reminds of the happy days...when we didn't fight...and he didn't slap me around...just kidding!!! : )
OK, this is over share. I can't stop loving that a$$h0le...

I first saw my wife in a club while she was freakin' out on 'Erotic City', which was always played around closing time...

We talked, became friends, became lovers, went to Prince concerts since 1993 and married in 1999 (coincedence). Our wedding invitations had a quote from 'Forever in my life' and during our wedding ceremony fragments of 'Venus de Milo', 'Love thy will be done' and 'The one' were played.

When we attended the Prince concert in Hamburg in 2002, my wife was pregnent of our first child Fleur (daughter).

We're very big fans of Prince's music, love him while performing live, but never even thought about naming our child to him, songs, etc.
