The problem with asking "should I buy this?" is that the answer is never going to really help you anyway.

If you read this board even casually, you'll realize that there are folks who hate (or at least strongly dislike) a particular release and others will tell you that the self same thing is the reason they became a Prince fan and think it's the living end.

You'll never gain concensus.

So, as RD says, you'll just have to take your chances, listen to it and make up your own mind. Nobody can do that for you.

The only advice I can offer is, if you truly hate it at first listen, put it away for a while and come back to it later. Some of his stuff grows on you (or you grow to catch up to it). If you still hate it after that, find your nearest CD exchange spot and trade it in for something else. But don't allow others to make decisions for you which are purely subjective in the first place.
