whilst browsing in hmv glasgow i checked out the prince section and found the following...

1 copy of best of
1 copy of parade
1 copy of sott
1 copy of lovesexy
1 copy of the hits 1
1 copy of news

yes 6 cd's in total... i remember in the early 90's full on rack after rack up to 5 rows of prince cd's, 15 copies of every album etc ! etc !

rows upon rows of cd singles, maxi singles, imports tower even stocked loads o 12 in vinyl and i do mean loads !!!

boy o boy is it time 4 those re-masters we all crave !!!

I remember reading and interview Prince did for Forbes Magazine, where he said that he wanted and aimed 2 get the largest section, shelf space-wise, in all the record stores!! So, far it hasnt happened!!

In fact, whenever I go into record stores here where I live, or when I am in another town or city, I have 2 really hunt for the Prince section!!! But then I have no idea why I do this, cos I have everything they have on display, anyway(except for that crappy The Very Best Of...)!!! But then depending on where I am, I can find the occasional import or something!!

Gone are the days, when there was a new Prince release there were huge promotional displays, and posters in store windows or in lighted up display frames!! I really miss those days!!

its force of habit + u never kno wot u'll find i found the if i was prince cd in a paris virgin records bout 2 years ago if ur not familiar ,its a prince tribute album some really good covers on it ! so its alway's worth lookin i'm like u i alway's check out the p section and ive alway's (well almost) alway's got every thing , unless its some tribute/comp cd.
