utter. total. absolute. blasphemy.
i wouldn't be caught dead with dirty mind as a fuckin handbag. i am dead serious. it totally takes away from the meaning of the album and what it stands for, and these fuckers have turned it into petty materialistic crap that rich snatches can carry their cell phones and their newest set of gloves from the gap in--they wouldn't have the slightest clue in the world what the album cover-turned-handbag actually means and the story behind it--hell, most likely (unless they're into ol' boy) they'd never even heard of the shit. all they'd see is some punkish-lookin guy in his underwear. they'd think it'd look absolutely dandy with their "punk" tank top that they just bought at urban outfitters. materialism. fashion. the status quo. that is not the name of the motherfuckin program. me, carryin that shit around...hmph. ya'll wish i would. yes, i am a bit offended over that crap. dirty mind means much much much more to me than somethin like that. ain't no way in the damned world i'd treat any album of that caliber in that sense. fuck fashion. mine.

Damn,I must really have bad luck,I can't even start a nice thread without something going wrong. Boy,do I feel like shit. I DON'T CARE ABOUT FASHION,I AM SOOO FAR AWAY FROM BEING FUCKIN TRENDY,OK!! Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see the difference between wearing a Dirty Mind t-shirt or jacket and a Dirty Mind shoulder bag. Maybe the people who make these bags are music geeks and wanted to use their talents to pay some kind of tribute to the music they love. Boy,do I feel like shit. I DON'T CARE ABOUT FASHION,I AM SOOO FAR AWAY FROM BEING FUCKIN TRENDY,OK!! there's no need for you to feel crappy about what i said, i'm not raggin on you. not at all. i, too, am untrendy. i wear what i like--sometimes i get comments from passers-by but i could care less. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see the difference between wearing a Dirty Mind t-shirt or jacket and a Dirty Mind shoulder bag.
i don't quite know how to explain this outside of my own thoughts, but here i go anyway: it's the purpose/concept of the whole thing, really--i do have a vintage dirty mind t-shirt in my wardrobe. bought it from a fellow orger for a mere $20 bux. cool beans. but a frickin $150 album cover-turned-handbag?? c'mon now...why? it's fuckin ridiculous! i liken that to goin to someplace like...i dunno, the buckle or urban outfitters or some other high-end store and buyin a "do-it-yourself" punk-esque-styled t-shirt that's ready-made for like $50-60 dollars. chances are you gonna see somebody else wearin the exact same shirt and if you ask 'em where they got it from, more than likely they'll mention the exact same store that you got it from. 'sides, you coulda made the exact same shirt with your own materials for a helluva lot cheaper (and with a more personal touch as well). also, when you see stuff such as those handbags it kinda does a bit of taking-away. at least in my eyes it does.
