Well besides his ass and mouth the answer is no. I'm sure someone will say sax, but I took a year of guitar lessons and I am not a guitar player and Prince is no sax player.

And Eric Leeds said he can't play the saxophone in the NPGMC chat earlier this year.

It seems like he attempted to vamp on the mouth organ on the 12" of 'Raspberry Beret', but that's about it.

He played harmonica on 'Girl O' My Dreams', but that was pretty basic stuff, reminiscent of Alanis Morrisette. big grin

I heard he learnt how 2 play the French Horn after the piano and before the guitar, but didn't and doesn't like the sound it makes.

Did he play the harmonica part in Thieves In The Temple or was that somebody else?

True. Then again, Candy Dulfer said she heard a tape of Prince playing sax and it wasn´t too bad.

It's something I have wondered a lot of times. Same about flute on The Question Of You. I remember a thread about it, someone said it was a real flute, overloop, and so on, but a real flute. I'm not really sure. But if that harmonica is real, if that flute is real, here you'll have your answer.
About sax. Well, I don't know. I agree lovemachine, I'm sure Prince has his own sax, but only for that reason he's not a sax player, and he hasn't played sax on any of his songs, as far as I have heard. And as an orger said once, if Prince played sax very well, he had played it on a concert, cause he likes to show how good he is.

It was a sample - not Prince.

There's harmonica at the begining to Black MF In The House.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

The 'harmonica' solos on "Thieves in the temple" and "Black MF in the house", which are identical, are actually both samples from a Chambers Brothers song.
