So now that Warners have decided to do something worthwhile with a new P.R dvd, i'm wondering if you had the choice what extras would you really like to see on disc 2?

* Videos for each of the singles
* A picture gallery of all the album and single covers
* Interviews w/ the Revolution (as it seems they might be game for it)
* The MTV Purple Rain Premiere special

I would like a multiple angle clip of Apollonia and her titties on the banks of Lake Minnetonka.

I know this would probably never be included but I think it would be so great if they included a movie commentary, where a few people involved in the movie (Wendy? Lisa? I think those two would be good choices ) make a running commentary on everything happening on screen. You get so much interesting behind-the-scenes trivia and information from that. I always love when DVDs I buy come with a movie commentary feature included and I think one for Purple Rain would be especially fascinating.

Deleted scenes and all the PR-related videos would be cool too.

DTS ES surround. Widescreen, remastered from a quality print. Director and actor commentaries (no Prince, of course). Behind the scenes. Storyboards. Extra scenes remastered.

And a Collectors Edition die-cast replica of the Motorcycle or Yellow Caddy.

...And Action Figures to be released at the same time as the DVD of "The Kid", "Apples", "Jill Jones", "Morris", "'Rome", "Hanging Kid", and "Head-Wound Father". All done by Todd MacFarlane.

But what do we all want aside from commentaries? DELETED SCENES!!! Behind the scenes, Premier party, videos, that would all be great too. Does anyone know if they are doing ANYTHING for UTCM as far as special features? I know there were a few scenes cut from that too that could resurface.

I mostly just want the movie in letterbox format without having to play the damn UK PAL DVD on my computer.

all deleted scenes including the making love in the barn with purple rian scenen...a direcotrs commentary would be the icing. Id settle for just the directors commentary if they dont add deleted scenes.

Disc 2 should feature the 1st avenue gig - lots of music on 'Purple Rain' was taken from that performance!

Computer Blue,I Would Die 4 U, Baby I'm A Star, and especially Purple Rain were the blueprints of the performances in the movie.

The performance of Purple Rain is sort of copied into the movie ...
even the kiss to Wendy was in the 1st avenue gig.

I would have used the live performances in the movie instead of the acted versions.
But I have to say that the lip-synched versions in the movie are great too. It's hardly noticeable that it isn't for real.

If the outtake thing doesnt happen, it would be bloody cool 2 see alternative takes of songs/scenes - that'd be cool.

I doubt they would have filmed a performance scene 4 Electric Intercourse...I think by the time the movie was underway Prince had already replaced the song on the album with The Beautiful Ones.
