Prince and alchemy

OK, for those of you who don't know, the prince symbol is actually a mixture of his old male/female symbol (that he had been using since '82) and the alchemy symbol for soapstone. Alchemy is an ancient religion/science/philosophy/art of making gold out of other metals and also it's spiritual equivelant, turning your soul into gold - becoming pure and being able to live forever etc. Anyway what I'm looking for is some lyrics in Prince songs that specifically relate to alchemy. There are a few in "3 Chains O Gold" and "Gold" but are there any others???

Yeah, I can't think of any other lyrics at this point in time, but I know there are some.

The spiritual metaphor may actually be more fact than fiction - the consumption of mono-atomic gold has been documented, and scientifically studied - apparently it has several unique atomic properties.

I'm not saying Prince is ingesting mono-atomic gold, I'm just saying he's hip to a lot of this stuff - the Rainbow Children is full of references to the Age of Aquarius stuff, the re-writing of history by those in power, the abuse of power, the slavery of humanity to negativity, thus keeping us locked in this perceptive reality.

The more I listen to TRC, the less I see JW stuff.

I'm a sucker for a major chord

I agree, when it first came out everyone was saying it's some JW story or something, but for me it's a summary of his beliefs up until that moment in his life.

Yeah, When Prince was trying to sue Uptown magazine for copyright issues about using prince in their publications, Uptown used the Soapstone line of defence saying Prince can't copyright something that is already copyrighted

I'm the one who sent the herbs
and a book on how to use them

Comes closest to anything Alchemic I can think of right now
Fcuz it's just herbal medicine of sorts, but it all has its
roots at a central kind of source.

Liquorice and Golden Seal
is all I ate

Is another one that pops into my head right now. I have a
pretty extensive library on herbal medicine and remember
that I did check out the medicinal uses for those two a
while ago. They both had something to do with sexuality
*gee surprise* but also with incontinence lol
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
