Do Yourself a favor This is my jam, I love this song, It's one of my favorite Prince boots. What in the world was he thinking by not releasing this song? It even would've been cool if somebody else in his camp song it. I have to warn you though if you haven't heard it, it's a catchy pop tune that'll be stuck in your head all day. I guess that's why I been listening to it so much lately.

Didn't Prince record this song overnight? Something like he heard it with his buddies and the following day presented them with his own recording. Heh heh... Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

From everything I've read, Prince did NOT write this song. Pepe Willie wrote it.

I liked Jesse's & Prince's version.
Prince should have just shut up at the end, though. "Naw, sit down! Sit down! I'll kick yo azz!" WTF? I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow... Now to find a way to exterminate Melody Cool and Rosie Gaines...

David Eye has his taste in his ass.
Princes version is much different then the Pepe Willie version. Classic song with an amazing combined synth figure. His singing is spot on. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Pepe Willie originally recorded this song as "If You See Me". Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

Jesse's version is aight, but Prince's version has that BASS, the full on keyboards, the vocals...the man shows us another heart-broken song with passion!! It amazes me sometimes how he can stream such emotion in one song. "The voter is less important than the man who provides money to the candidate," - Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens

The song was written by Pepe Willie, its on his album..whichever rerelease is out there called IF YOU SEE ME. Prince rewrote it though. Prince gave it to Jesse later, but was never credited. So its kind of a cover...but Prince's version surpasses all of the above versions. And I've TRIED to like them all. I like both versions, but Jesse's is my favorite. Prince goes on a bit too long...

I like the 12" mix of Jesse's version, but I say Prince wins out on this one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
