Sorry to sound negative, but I think it's his worst album, the only good track is Cherry Cherry, but I'm sure you'll make up your own mind.

if you listen to it with headphones it sounds great. you get to hear a lot of little things that you don't with just loud speakers.
i always hear new things in Prince's music when i listen to his albums with headphones.

Return of the Bump Squad flat out funks!
Milty -- I understand your comments, but it truly depends on the loudspeakers and what you're using to drive them. Depends on the headphones, too. I used to swear by headphones until the hubby introduced me to high-end audio. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

The best NPG album, easy.
The best track is the final song...THE EXODUS HAS BEGUN. The rest of the album is hit or miss but there are some great spots on it. Check it out The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Ya got that right. It's definitely superior to D&P, Symbol, Come, and Rave. Some of the tracks are straight-up classics. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Bob would agree. But it's "Jah", aka God. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

It takes some getting used to. Especially because of all of the segues. I love Retun of the Bump Squad. It kicks major ass. So does Big Fun. IMO, I don't care for Cherry Cherry, but the album is a great album. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
