I was listening to the Batman sound track recently, and after a while i realised that it is such a great collection of songs. As a sound track it is far better than Parade & graffit bridge.

I particularly enjoy partyman and scandolous.

Do you agree with my opinion ? if not why?

I've actually always loved the BATMAN album/OST, but in no way I think it is better than PARADE which is my 2nd favorite after LOVESEXY. BATMAN is definitely better than GRAFFITI BRIDGE with no hesitation.

Damn good movie. Liked it when Jack Nickelson (Joker) plays the boom box of P singing as he makes his way towards Viki Vail.

I gotta get the cd, bought it years ago on cassette when it came out.

Batman's my favourite movie ever, I've worshipped Keaton's Batman since I was 4.

BUT, I really don't like the album. It doesn't do it for me.

Overall it just sounds like a really stripped down, more simplified Prince album, and I don't like that.

By far my least favourite work of his.

It's a good album.

But don't you think 90% of the material recorded after Prince settled in and got his butt down on the seats at Paisley Park sounds so clinical and clean-cut?

prince wasn't too bad, but listen to Gold, Emancipation, Rave, NPS, even TRC to an extent - practically everything past the songs on SOTT recorded at PP sounds so cleancut.

I think the isolation of his own studio helped him cut off from other people, after 1988 it was never the same (the music).

Maybe you weren't the same. Many people still enjoy the music so don't try to bring them down with you.

And for the LAST time the 80's are over!! lol
