Last Thursday night, somone busted out my car windows (yes, plural) and stole a case of 30 CDs, including The Love Below, the new Pink (I NEEED MAH PANK!!!), the second copy I've bought of The Rainbow Children (the first one had a run-in with a glass of water and turned into a sponge), all 3 of my Time CDs, the double-disc ONA live (that shit cost me MONEY too!!! i never even listen to it, but brought it into the car the other day to listen to family name, which kicks so much harder ass on there than on the studio...well, not harder but different, and i need the "YES, I OWNED SLAVES TOO!!" voice in there, and i'm not sure why i'm going into this detail about family name except to illustrate how unusual it was for so many of my prince rarities to be in one place like that...)

Sigh. Gets me all worked up just thinkin' about it. Carmen, where is you? Where IS my Go-Go Dancer?

I feel ya, same thing happened to me about a month ago, my stereo was stolen I only lost one cd, " Rave".

Well, you can download the Love Below and Pink albums pretty easily from the various mp3 newsgroups...for the Prince stuff, hit the Royal Hub. I'm sure you miss the originals though. That sucks...hopefully whoever stole them will get hit by a bus.

I'm gonna have to buy that from the club again. Sigh.

I think the person who stolo your Cd's was Prince, cause he wants to increse his TRC sales, now you have to buy your 3rd TRC copy.

Damn what a shame! That's why I only ever have cdr copies
of albums in my car because I'd freak if the originals got

I can remember a few months ago I was sleeping over at my
Ex's and at 03:30 A.M. I woke up and to my utter horror
realised my ORIGINAL BLACK ALBUM was still in my car.

So I quickly rushed some clothes on, ran down the stairs,
out the house, around the corner to where my car was parked
and retrieved my precious Black Album.

When I finally got back into the house, my ex was standing
in the livingroom like "Shit guy, I thought you just left
me or something. Why are you sneaking out of the house in
the middle of the night eh?".

I was like "Fuck man, this is the BLACK ALBUM, don't you
understand what that means?"

IstenSzek, that's a fantastic story...I need to learn a lesson from that. Luckily, I just found my Pank CD which and the new Macy Gray...fucking thief didn't get those motherfuckers. Oh, and turns out I HAD taken Carmen out of the case, so it's here, safe and sound, thank the sweet lord. My Time albums didn't fare as well, but none of those are deleted or really hard to find...are they?

And that also is still in my possession...granted, my crystal ball cds are SERIOUSLY fucked - that thing's been in sorry shape since the second week, and we're now 5 years on and 3 cross-country moves, so. I wanna buy a new one, and I've got my eye on a used one in a local wrecka stow for maybe $18 or something like that...but I don't wanna HAVE to buy it.

Anyway. Next time I'm in MPLS I'll have to go record shopping...why didn't I think of that last time? I was probably broke or something - plus, I mean, I have everything. Or, HAD everything.

You should have left the car where it was for 48 hours.

Once they got a listen of the Carmen CD, I'm sure they will bring it back for a refund.
