She Gave Her Angels If you listen to the beginning of this beautiful song...if you listen very closely...you can hear someone cry and quietly walk out of the room and shut the door before Prince begins to sing...very touching and very sad.

I'll have to give it another listen.

This is a great song...very touching, and a nice
thought, to "give" your angels to someone who could could use them, if only for a little while, more than you. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

This song along with "Goodbye" should have been on "Emancipation"!

I always thought it was a good song as well. From first listen, I thought it had something to do with 'the first time'....although the song is what it means to you, I wonder what is it that the beauty of this song really means to you??? Maybe you're hearing piano and drum sounds?

You're right. I don't hearing those sounds at all either, as I'm playing the song right now, but what I meant is in the lyrics... [This message was edited Sat Dec 27 20:18:39 PST 2003 by Starmist7]

Yes! Finally people are mentioning this song. "She Gave Her Angels" is one of my favorites! I made a whole topic devoted to this song weeks ago, and not many people replied.

You're listening to the bootlegged version from the Muppet show. He talks to Gonzo and then opens a door to into a room with a piano. "The voter is less important than the man who provides money to the candidate," - Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens
