Dinner With Delores - Prince's Best 90's Single? Dinner With Delores is so good, it is the complete opposite of the type of stuff Prince has been doing recently: it ends way too soon, it's impossible to get out of your head and the lyrics are funny and thoughtful (like way back when). Why couldn't the rest of the album be as good as that great song?
It certainly beats stuff like Cream, MBGITW and maybe 7 in my book. Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. Its a good melody, and I dig this track, but the lyrics are just crap.. anyone could have laid that down, and the comparison of a dinasour is just simply STUPID. | |

What about the lines (1) Introduce the carpet to something other than your knees. or (2) I'd call you a friend but it must be a sin, and I've run out of cheeks to turn. I love this song, ironically most people do not realize that the lyrics are methaphorical...Delores is Warner Bros. This song has nothing to do with the surface level subject matter. | |
