It

I'm sorry,we were playing the "start a thread with a title as long as or shorter than the previous one" game weren't we.Hence this thread shall be an appreciation of the song "It" , which I think is awesome despite someone distressingly describing it as "beat heavy filler" somewhere recently, anyone else love this track?

IT is one of Prince's raunchiest, funkiest throw downs ever. It's one of my favorites from SOTT!
Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
μηδὲν ὅλως σὺ λυποῦ
πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν
τὸ τέλος ὁ χρόνος ἀπαιτεῖ.”

Anxiety

This song is cool. It's that dark murky obsessive stuff that he doesn't seem to want much to do with anymore.

I've never considered IT to be a weak track. SOTT would not have been as good without it. Spare, funky, catchy... an almost perfect Prince song.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I absolutely adore this song!!! The beat machine, his vocals, and the guitar solo are all on point. The subject matter is not too shabby either, he is letting it all hang out here. I love the way the track builds and builds until the release after the "feels so good must be a crime" line. It simulates sexual intercourse instrumentally, while his vocals/lyrics convey a feeling that most of us have time to time. Also, the beat programming on this song is some of the best of his career. The beat is pulsating and the slight tempo changes are exquisite. I've never understood why some people say this song isn't worthy of Sign 'O The Times, I consider it one of the best songs on the LP. Timeless!!
