the one thing about prince that has always pissed me off... or rather his record company.
why o why  when you have one of the most critically lauded artists OF ALL TIME do WB stick on the most stupid fuckin reviews on the cover
purple rain really sticks in the throat...fuckin dozens of superlatives(most spiritually blah blah)and whats on the cover???"u dont have to be 19 to have AURGHHH" the gold experience received some of the best reviews in princes career..what do WB choose?"THE BEST SONGS IN UNDER A CHERRY MOON"...i fucking ask you dunno why but that pissed me off today! | |

One of the few things that pisses..or rather bores me...is how we have one of the most critically acclaimed artists who has made so much and created so much beautiful music and given so much for us to enjoy has a fans that are always so focused on his perosnality, and always on the negative side of things from him especially when most dont even know the real deal etc. "Climb in my fur." | |

I'm always annoyed at how some fans act like Prince is a has been simply because he doesn't wanna create pop hits anymore.
It's ridiculous. His music is still great imo, so who cares if he's not on the cover of Blender or Rolling Stone? The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I know he tried again wirth Rave and was hypocritical etc but if he really wanted to be on top of th epop heap etc he ocld...its a different geenration yes, and it would tak e more than one commerical like release that has millions poured into it etc...so if he really wanted some top tens he could go the record co. route, make some releases, play the video tour game etc...if he wanted. Shit, Pat fuckin Boone could be a top 100 chart conteneder with the machine behind his butt...neptunes written song etc blah blah...be glad Prince has taken this route and not sung Shockedelica forever.
