What's a good Tell-All definitive book of Prince? From the early days up to present day. Something detailing the Revolution's firing, The Time, Tha Family, etc...
Something with everything. Does one exist? I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow... Now to find a way to exterminate Melody Cool and Rosie Gaines...

DMSR is the most informative but only goes up to SOTT. Put yourself on the worldwide org map! www.frappr.com/princeorg

There was another Prince book, i believe written by Per Nilsen, that came out before DMSR, and it covered all the way up to 92.
I lent my copy to someone and never got it back, but it was a great book, practically covered day by day what Prince did, when he recorded somethin, when he played a concert somehwere, etc.. It had a yellow cover and a pic of Prince circa 89-90 with a black hat on smiling, and straight hair.

That was Prince: A Documentary, and Days Of Wild is the latest version.
I agree DMSR is the best biography. DoW is more of a chronology - but both are essential IMO along with Turn It Up which has the same info as DoW on recordings, but puts in a much more cohesive/researchable order, and goes into more detail as to the individual songs, and mixes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Until Mayte or Andre decide to drop a bomb in bookstores.. the "tell-all" foundation is Alex Hahn's bitter sweet book "Possessed"
I think the book that Tom is talking about is ISBN 0-7119-1816-3 Prince A Documentary.

I liked Prince: A Pop Life by David Hill, but it's way too old now. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
