I'm surprised these aren't coming out on Criterion Collection. After all, they just put out that gorgeous Fassbinder series - why not Graffiti Bridge??? | |

Ohmygod, isn't that Criterion Fassbinder collection TAH DIE FWAH!?
I'm so excited about these impending DVD releases. My friends are probably less excited, because it means they're gonna have to watch these babies. YeemotherfuckinHAW! No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

as for the dvds, i'll only buy pr and utcm. gb most likely will only sell about 20 copies worldwide, maximum.  | |

Well, whatever. I'll end up buying at least a few before I die...copies of Graffiti Bridge, that is. I know my dad would get a huge thrill out of seeing that again (I had to drag him to see it with me in the theatre because none of my friends would go with me). No confusion, no tears. Werll I guess my first reaction would be : what the hell are you talking about ? My second would probably be : I could probably better give a reaction if I knew exactly WHAT these 3 movies were. . GB may be in the top 3 worst. UTCM is fun for Prince fans...at least the first half is for me. Purple Rain is one of the 3 best movies ever. | |

I'm quite the film buff, & a friend of mine teaches film history at SFU, I showed him UTCM & he thought it was great. Showed it to his class & they all dug it...i think it depends on what your expecting. If u bill it as a comedy with a homages to french new wave cinema, classic hollywood, & Fellini-then u say "hey, thats a quirky little film..." But if u think of it as your basic run of the mill romantic comedy you'll be dissapointed. It has alot of arty little jokes. i don't know man, I think UTCM is great. Grafitti Bridge...is sat through it once-just to say I did it. Difficult.
