Hello people. Today Alicia Keys has been interviewed on a TV programme, here in Spain. The programme (for Spanish orgers) is called "Lo más plus". She has launched her last album, and she has talked about Prince.
I have noted the conversation, almost perfectly. Trust me.

- Woman: You have recorded a song by Prince on your first album, Have you met him?
- Alicia: yes, yes.
- Man: But is it Prince or the Artist Formerly Known As Prince?
- Woman: I think he’s called again Prince.
- Alicia: no, the Artist, well, maybe Prince, not sure now.
- Woman: how was the meeting?
- Alicia: very well. He invited me to sing with him, in his birthday, in Paisley Park. It was marvellous. He said he had liked my "How come you don’t call me anymore" cover very much. To meet him was an incredible experience, he is wonderful.

Isn't it funny? Alicia is not sure about if Prince is Prince or he's the Artist.

I'm not saying this is Alicia (although it may well be), but it peeves me when younger artists say they are Prince fans, and when asked what their favourite song is they say "Kiss" or "Cream".

I know people critise Andre 3000 for being a bit of a copycat, but at least it sounds like he knows the music that his sounds like, I can imagine him as a kid listening to Parade and being blown away.

I can't imagine Alicia Keys grasping her copy of 1999 to her bossom because she loved the b-side to death.

Ya she probably is an idiot, but highley over rated...I'm not sure. I think she has a great voice and a nice vibe. Much better than half the crap that is out there these days!!

the artist changing his name back to prince has been little to no news. few people care about the man because he's not in the public eye anymore. the casual fan only gets to hear his old, more successful music. they only know prince from his heydays up to his name change (read: commercial downfall). people like alicia keys can still admire prince for his music from the past without knowing about what he's up to now. think about that for a change before you defend your little prince.. again.

normally I wouldn't rag on somene for not knowing he's "Prince" again, but come now, the girl HAS met him before and claims to be a huge fan, it seems pretty strange for her not to know that.
I don't know why but it seems like there's some rule that says you have to say you're a fan of Prince. At least Pink is honest, lol.

And Alicia's not a poser, just HIGHLY overrated

i have always thought of her as being talented and okay but nothing special. then i saw her on the vibe awards about a month ago. she stole the show. she was the only performer that night who put on a performance worth watching. she did "you don't know my name" which is a good song. and her band is super tight.

but she should know that he is prince again, come on, really, she was on stage with him at the new york aftershow too. she has met him more than once since he changed his name back.

Alicia Keys is not an idiot!Justbecause she didnt know what he was calling himself at the time does not make her a an idiot.Some ppl dont even know that Prince is still making music.Just because she doesnt go on the org every frickin day and find out new Prince updates doesnt make her an idiot.
