Warner Home Video has announced their intentions to delve deep into their formidable archive in 2004.
Warner hit a real purple patch in August with a trilogy of Prince musicals including a two disc special edition of the mega-hit Purple Rain, based on his best-selling album plus it's sequels Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge. This is for Warner Home Video UK though, I haven't read anything for North America yet. | |

dammit..they better release this in the USA. We need a letterbox version and one with outtakes/deleted scenes would be sweet. I can't imagine a Prince fan not buying a copy. | |

If its already planned, I bet its without Princes involvement.
Which means UTCM and GB will be the standard versions. I bet PR will be a warner produced 2 disc set, meaning the second disc will contain the album, or the videos. Something that don't need P for. . |

Hmmm. Big UK push for old Prince stuff in August?
Knowing WB, it's probably 4 1 of 2 reasons:- 1. 2 cash in on his Glastonbury appearance 2. 2 cash in on his cult popularity in the UK dance scene or maybe they got wind that he was gonna release a DVD or 2 around that time and they wanted to nobble him again like they did with 'Chaos & Disorder' vs 'Emancipation' and 'The Vault' vs 'Rave'!
