It would be the worst thing Prince could ever do and would waste a lot of time that he could spend on doing some new music.It would not be the same as the 80s and would make Prince appear desperate for the past.Nostalgia does strange things to people.

If Janet Jackson or Madonna went on tour next year sometime and they decided to pop a few of their old songs in the set list somewhere... the fans would love it. Sure people here and on the NPGMC would go and alot would enjoy. But to take three years to perform all old stuff? While he should always include some of the back catalogue in his sets, imo, devoting that much time and energy to just rehash the glory years, heck he could just buy a rhinestone cape and change his name to Elvis.

I don't know about 3 different tours but I have always liked the idea of P doing a show in chronological order. Starting with The Soft n Wet/I Wanna Be Your Lover style and moving into Dirty Mind/Controversy’s rude boy era and on from there. Break each into 20-30 minutes sets and go all out right down to the outfits. Sort of a last hurrah to the good ol days. What better way to celebrate his 25th year and induction to the R&R HOF.
