Who's your favorite Prince band and why?

Even though I love them all "The Revolution'(after they added Lisa and Wendy) is my favorite! music

- I love the chemistry they shared- the harmonies were on point and it seemed as if it was a group effort even though Prince was in the forefront-

Who's your favorite and make sure you say why! tease

I like The Revolution for their energy and chemistry.

I like the SOTT/Lovesexy band for bringing the music to another level.

I like the 94/95 NPG for Exodus, The Gold Experience, The Undertaker, & all those late night Paisley jams.

However, of all these bands I think the current band is THE most talented. Rhonda/Renato/John Blackwell/Maceo/Eric...sheer brilliance on stage.

If we talk with nostalgia: The Revolution.
If we talk about show: 1988 Lovesexy band.
If we talk about music: the last one.

For me, Renato, Rhonda, John, Maceo and Greg (plus Eric, Sheila, Candy, etc. when they play) is the best band I have ever seen.

assuming you mean "live" bands I would have to go with SOTT and Lovesexy equally closely followed by the Parade tour.

Because they were so tight, all round performers, just more of a show than just musicians. I guess to sum it up in a word why I prefer these bands PERSONALITY!
In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

The Revolution. The NPG is funky in a soulful kinda way, but the Revolution were more consistent.
