I like it...I don't think it would be on the list 4 2003 club mixes but i know some clubs-well,most clubs mix new songs with old school,and they probaly most likely would mix that one.

Like it. Cool little ditty. Not one of the stronger songs off that CD.

Hmm, I like it, but I prefer "The Continental". I kind of
fucked up this song for myself by taking the disc to one
of our schoolparties and asking them to play it and then
consequently make a complete fool of myself dancing to it
while everyone else fled for cover up beside the wall.

Somewhere in the middle, not too good, not too bad.

Actually, if my name wasn't Maxine, my view on the song would be that (as usual) Tony M opened his mouth and ruined another Prince song. Other than that, the song's ok.

I like this song alot.

Funny story about this song: When two friends and I went to Minneapolis back in 1992, we were asking my one friend where Prince's house was, since we were interested in seeing it. We drove past Prince's house (which was kind of disappointing, since it is covered with trees, and you can't see a thing). My one friend said, "Let's blast the song "The Max" real loud so Prince can hear it", so we rolled down the window, and turned up the music while we were rolling past Prince's mansion. Prince probably never even heard the music blasting outside of his house, but the memory was silly and funny nonetheless.

That deep-sounding rhythm guitar line at the end ALMOST saves it.
