"If You Break My Heart", and another unknown Vaulter

I found this song on a cassette I made 10 years ago. Forgot ALL ABOUT this song. It's awesome. Does anybody know when it was done? I'm guessing during lovesexy era cuz of the horns.

ALSO - I've got a song that was credited as having been done with Miles, but I know it's not. But it is the jam. The chorus is "hey baby, can I talk to you. Baby can I walk with you, can I talk to you..."

VERY uptempo jam type thing. Maybe from the first Jewel Box series.

Can somebody give me the deets on these two songs?

love "Last Heart" - I miss Eric Leeds.

Of all Prince's sax players, his was the most sublime accompaniment to the man's music. It blended in seamlessly with the Prince sound.

'Last Heart' and 'Can I Play With U?' are both from 1986,
around the same time as most of the Dream Factory tracks.

Last Heart was included on the Crystal Ball set in 1998.

Can I Play With U? was scheduled to appear on The Last Word, a box-set of Miles Davis' Warner Brothers sessions, a couple of years ago, along with a few other Prince-written tracks. Prince refused permission for his tracks, and the box-set hasn't appeared since. Now that I'm really developing a taste for Miles Davis, I hope this does come out someday, although his WB work is probably his worst.

Thanks. I coulda sworn that I read somewhere that Miles and Prince never really ever recorded anything together except one song.
