nervous about hall of fame?

OK. who else is worried about P's induction into the Hall of Fame?

I mean, lets face it. This is a perfect opportunity for P to do something really fucked up and become even more of a media joke than he already is.

they always have a jam at the end of the ceremony... i can't for the life of me imaging P taking part in something like that...

i guess as a fan i shouldn't care what the average music fan / media type thinks about Prince, but this is a great opportunity for Prince to make a big time comeback... the 20th anniversary of purple rain, hopefully a reissue, the Hall of Fame induction, etc...

I just hope that he doesn't get some hair-brained notion and get all freaky.

then again, he's prince because he IS freaky...

but am i wrong in hoping he'll be a good boy for once?

he'll be fine if he is just grateful and shows some humility...neither of which is his forte.

I think it's quite the opposite. I still think the brother is hoping for some mainstream success. This could be an opportunity for him to lay the groundwork for that. Don't be surprised to see some new material released shortly before the ceremony.

RS asked Prince about his grammy nomination and he had no comment. i don't think he will show up and i seriously doubt if he performs after the induction. but, who knows, he might just surprise us all.

I read somewhere that Prince is friends with the guys from ZZ Top, and that they gave him as a gift, a guitar who's body is in the shape of the state of texas!! Could you imagine Prince joining ZZ Top for a version of TV Dinners??

i think that would be awesome. zztop does not get enough credit. people think of them as some sort of joke because of the long beards and hot rod cars, but they have a lot of talent, and they can jam to blues like very few white rockers can do.

I'd rather hear them jam on "Manic Mechanic"...or at least "Cheap Sunglasses."

There's more chance of Madonna fathering Michael Jackson's fourth than there is of Prince turning up at this ceremony.

Yeah, I remembered them for the beards and then I was watching "From Dusk Till Dawn" and I heard this awesome filthy blues track. I checked the end credits and was amazed to find it was them. One of their old tracks came on the radio the other day and I realised they really could rock it.

Further investigation required.

They could definitely do "The Undertaker" with him!
