Tower Records after-party recording

So does anyone else have it? I know the nature of this board and the fact that nobody can show y'all anything new, so I'm guessing the answer will be yes. smile

But a friend of mine lent me his tape (it's from 1988) and said that a friend of his at the time worked at Tower Records and the recording was never "available" at all, she did a desk-swipe with it.

It starts off with him going "So, let's have a show of hands - how many of you are drunk?" There's a pause then he goes "Good, good... so you might actually HEAR the music, instead of just making up the chords in your mind..."

Funny, actually. Anyone got it?

What on Earth does this boot have to do with Tower Records? Did it accidently go on sale there at some point?

According to the guy that lent it to me, he said that the gig was hosted by Tower Records. *shrug* I don't know if he's right.

It's from the Het Paard van Troje...if that's the correct spelling...translated, it's the Trojan Horse Club, in the Hague, Netherlands. It was a late-night aftershow following a Lovesexy tour show in '88. Good job getting a copy, even if you didn't know the details, that's the number one Prince "alternative" recording of all time! Look for a cd copy and it will sound even better...jeez I gotta go listen to it right now! RAVE!

it'll be really tough to find a bad version of it ... it's 2 CD's directly from DAT, audio is pristine

I've been a Prince fan since the early 80's & have never have been able to find a copy. Maybe I should give up as a Prince fan & become a MJ supporter.cry
