I've only done karaoke twice in my life. Once, as a smashed 17-year old I gave the Beatles a beating with my death metal rendition of 'Get Back', much to the dismay of my Lennon-loving friend who was trying to sing it properly.
The second time was early this year and I looked for Prince songs and all they had was Kiss. Well, there's no fucking way you can get me to hit those notes, not even if you squeezed my balls whilst I sang, so we decided to molest Frank Sinatra and those poor Beatles again. I'm a slightly overweight white guy with glasses that performed "Kiss" back in college. Back when I actually had an extensive falsetto range. I've since lost part of that range due to not making stupid noises and aaoowah's all the time.
Never stop doing that! I also did a horrible dance routine to it and the whole thing was ridiculous. People loved it, it's like watching a train wreck, you can't help but watch.

i do kiss about once a month and usually am the only one in the place that gets people moving and dancing. its because i really get into my routine. like jtgillia, i am starting to lose my falsetto. and i can no longer do that psychodelic scream.

I find Prince's songs hard 2 sing cuz most u have 2 have a real high voice 2 sing them and when u sing them in a lower register they don't sound as good.
However I can sing so I'd choose a song like 'Purple Rain' etc. which can be sung in a lower register, I'd like 2 sing 'Adore' or something like that, Has any1 ever sung 'God'?...u got have a high voice 4 that!

I have only karaoke'd once. Everyone thought it would be a Prince song, but no way. It would have been murder and how could I have lived with myself after that? I'm firmly planted in denial
