WERE U AROUND IN THE 80'S WHEN THIS WAS RELEASED?? IT WAS COVETED BY ALL. CINDY CRAWFORD EVEN CARRIED THE TAPE IN HER BAG. THE REVIEWS FOR THIS ALBUM ONCE OFFICIALLY RELEASED WERE GREAT!!! I PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE THE ALBUM BUT THE BLACK ALBUM IS ONE OF THE MOST POPLUAR BOOTLEG ALBUMS EVER. | |

underrated?
1. chaos & disorder - an oddball collection, but some essential songs. its fast, loud and quick. 2. the vault - cool, sophisticated. great tunes! not too far from what prince is doing now. 3. controversy - smart, funky and very cutting edge. this is 1981. 4. rave un2 - funny, everyone loves to dog this album, and then go on to say how much they love the individual trax though. 5. emancipation - where's the guitar? everyone whines. that was the gold experience, this is something different. prince was heavily into r&b/dance, love ballads in 95-6 and can u blame him. even those who diss emancipation can find a dozen great songs here. by the way, parade and around the world are OVER-rated, imo. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com
