Hit U In The Socket

Such a funny track. I'm not sure what period it's from but
I think it would have fit perfectly on the kitsh pastiche
that was the Grafitty Bridge talentscout-took-a-nose-dive
soundtrack.

It always strikes me as a companion to Mavis' take of the
P penned "Melody Cool".

And why wasn't Rosie on the 1-800 New Funk compilation???

hmmm

PS: Why does this track always conjure images of Richard Geere?

It's a shame her paisley park album 'Concrete Jungle'
was never released. Though some of the songs from it
did surface on her 1995 Motown album 'Closer Than Close'.

I like the boot version better than the NPGMC one.Id love to see Rosie work with Price again.I think she's horribly underrated.

Yeah, I prefer the original version of 'Hit U In The Socket' to
the NPGMC mix. I miss the 'Soul Man' sample/groove.

Is it just me ,or do I hear a Chaka sample of some sort on that original track?I could swear I hear her somewhere in the background ,not actually singing but a vocal sample. It could be Rosie as well.
