"...And for those of you on Valium, my name is Prince"

My God, at last I just got this on DVD, and it is awesome, I just cannot get over how great this rehearsal is, The sound quality is excellent, and the picture in the main is incredible. Highlights are Strange Relationship & Forever In My Life - this was truly Prince and his band at their very very best!

Shame they stuck on the out of synch Sign/Play at the end, it just doesn;t need that, and the fact that it is out of synch is frustrating.

If you get one DVD boot, get this one!

Wicked.

Dorothy Parker...was cool!

Is the picture all a bit blurry- or is it really worth it?

I like the version of forever in my life(vhs)

The picture in parts is fuzzy, but in some parts is so clear it is incredible, but it all just goes to make this feel so live, and you really get to feel Prince and his band work out - I am telling you, get it, you will not be disappointed - I happen to find the SOTT stuff his most fascinating material, so perhaps I love it as much for that - but I just think this is wicked, it is so damn funky!

It is a little bit blurry in parts but on the whole its quite good. I was pissed too with the out of synch Sign of the Times/Play in the Sunshine - that kinda spoiled it a bit.

I've seen a bit of this performance - it's weird seeing him in the polkadot suit rehearsing for the Sign o the Times tour, I always associate the polkadot look with the Lovesexy tour the year after, mainly from the videos I suppose.

Did he wear polkadot a lot on the Sign o the Times tour? I wish I could pull off a polkadot suit, or for that matter a canary yellow one, but you really have to be an international popstar to do it...

It's about as good as The Family Live DVD I'd say if you have that. Its definitely VHS quality, but an EX VHS conversion to DVD I think. I'd say it was like taken from 2nd generation video which is VERY good considering that video has been CIRCULATING for years, getting dubbed over and over again. They found a really high generation copy of it. Too bad its a bit pricey though.

Eh, I would get the VCD of it, its an audience recording and it doesn't look much different on a DVD since the quality is not that great. About the show, the zoom-ins are great!! The sound is good and the performance is top-notch!! I'd recommend getting both Tokyo ONA shows on VCD just to have and check out smile
