Out Of Curiosity....What Is The Rarest or Most Treasured Thing You Own By Prince I don't know how rare it is, in fact there may be hundreds of folks who have it, but I have a video of the concert he did back on August, 3, 1983. It was a benefit concert for the Minneapolis Dance Theater. It was the first performance with Wendy in the Revolution. It was also the first time that any of the 'Purple Rain' material was performed live. This was the track list for that performance:
Let's Go Crazy / When You Were Mine / A Case Of You / Computer Blue / Delirious / Electric Intercourse / Automatic / I Would Die 4 U / Baby, I'm A Star / Little Red Corvette / Purple Rain / D.M.S.R. I love this thing. One day I'm gonna learn how to convert VHS to DVD before my VCR destroys it. I'd be interested to know what some others here have that may be rare or just very treasured.

Thats one of is greatest --top 5 or even top 2 perofrmances. Hot n sweaty up in there. And his look is awesome. And the band is smokin..and the material is wonderful. And DMSR..lawd. I want that hat. I have a few oddities here and there--my fav is that 1984 june 7th birthday rehearsal I guess..where he does Roadhouse Garden and Our Destiny I lso have a few othe r things..a COME album cover poster from a music store---plastic that goes in front of their lighted ad boxes so it aint ever going to get torn--or used if I dont start framing these damn thangs. Also the 12 inch God instrumental few others cant think of right now "Climb in my fur."

I have a lot of treasures. I would die 4 the "Sexy dancer" 12". My treasures include the promo 12" of "Why you wanna treat me so bad". The 12" of "Let's work" (I also have 12" of "Let's work as a promo, and as a German import). Other 12" treasures include "Gold" on Gold vinyl (promo), "Paisley park" from the UK. I have tons of promos and UK, German, and France imports. I also have the picture disc for O-+> from Mexico. I have picture discs of "Girls and boys", "Sexy MF", "Controversy", "Letitgo", "My name is Prince" and "7". I also have a rare 12" of "Get wild" by The New Power Generation. I have the 45 for "Soft and wet" and all of his 45 picture sleeves including two different sleeves for "Uptown". I suppose I could go on and on. I have a few little items, including just about all the 12"s from the 80s, at least all the musically intersting ones My two fave 12" records are Sexy Dancer and the Pope promo. I found them both in the same box at the back of a record shop and got them for $110. I think they're worth more than that? And my latest addition is the tour book from HK, signed by John Blackwell. Actually, I asked him not to sign it to me, I just wanted his autograph, but when I looked later he ended up writing "To: John Blackwell" (!) Should've shut my mouth. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

I have a purple, ring-leafed notebook from 1983 with Prince's handwriting on it regarding the emerging Purple Rain script and lyrics to "I Would Die 4 U", "17 Days", and "Father's Song".
Is that legit???! Soladeo
