Your first song of Prince

Why did you start to be a fan? I suppose, like me, because of a song.
I heard Prince first time in 1988 with "Alphabet St." and I liked it very much. But I wasn't a fan. I also liked Batman, Graffiti Bridge and the first singles of Diamonds and Pearls, but the song which turned me into an OBSESSED FAN was

"Money don't matter 2night" (although it's not my favourite Prince song, it was my first one)

And you?

I think Pussy control was the moment that turned me from a fan to a fanatic.

When I 1st heard Little Red Corvette on the radio back in 83 I thought this dude is pretty cool. Bought 1999, the album, shortly after and really dug it. But then I heard When Doves Cry, and I was hooked for life.

My first song was Batdance back when it came out, but I didn't become a fan until April of last year when I first heard Purple Rain.

Well my first song was Sexy Dancer, but I became a fam when I saw Purple Rain. Everything about Prince I loved. I even started eating Doritos because he was eating them in the movie. (Sad but true). Not ashamed of it one little bit.

Controversy..I hope i'm not telling my age..I was very young i was telling my uncle who was bumping it at the time that that Controversy was a satanic song. It thought he was saying " do not believe in God". He kept playing it and I was hooked. 1999 followed, then the bandwagon album, Purple Rain...The rest is history. grouphug
