HolyWine said Cherry Moon was DA-BOMB!!! WE/I/US loved Under the Cherry Moon!!!
i'm sorry - but it's like how can a Prince fan not love these movies???!! I am a very big Prince fan. Unfortunately, I am also a big film fan.The 2 lead to a clash here. I can dig "Purple Rain" as fantastic cheese, I can watch "Graffiti Bridge" if I'm ripped on weed & booze but "Under The Cherry Moon" is just a huge fucking 60-foot dogshit of a movie. Anyone who enjoys "Under The Cherry Moon" and watches it regularly, is probably a danger to their community and family and will soon do something desperate. Oh, and Number23? Thanks 4 another eloquent and thought-provoking post. I agree with u whole-heartedly. I like it a lot. If I win the lottery and my social worker let's me have a passport, then I'm going to go on holiday to Minnieapolice and I'm going to visit Grafitti Bridge. I'm going to sleep under it like the lady does. Did you spill my prescription?

Still in my heavy rotations on VHS. Finally someone else who liked the 'Tick,Tick,Bang' performance. :get's back in box: I liked the 'Tick, Tick, Bang' performance too ! I foced my flatmate to watch the movie with meand she wasn't impressed but this performance kept her very amused for a few miniutes though. I thought the dance uh 'sequence' was cute, I love the whole look of this movie, I really wated to like it but the rest of it sucks

To be honest, I think Graffiti Bridge is a testament to making art whilst the idea is still fresh. We all know how Prince has always been very centered on what he working on/doing in the now. Seems like he must have *really* had faith in whatever he was trying to say and explore with Graffiti Bridge to keep it on the back-burner for so long. You've all read the original script right? If not, I'm sure someone will provide a link. It was a pretty wacky script, but it didn't have anything to do with Purple Rain, the whole sequel thing was tacked on in order to get it made. So beautifully said! You took the words right outta my mouth [This message was edited Mon Dec 29 14:49:22 PST 2003 by Mariefrance] Comment resistez-vous a la tentation?
