Stating the obvious: Prince is ace I know it's like stating the obvious, but, hey, verbalizing things is (almost always) the right thing to do, so here I go: Prince was (and/or is, depending on whether u're nostalgic or not) an amazingly talented guy, with skills and gifts amounting to genius.
So, all praise to the (not so) new king in town, the (purple) Party Man !!! There are no kings on this Earth, only Princes

No, I'm pretty sure Ace was driving in "School Yard" and Prince was in the back with Carrie

Once upon a time... | |

ok folks, let's turn this dull thread into the most surreal org thread ever.
Once upon a time lived a midget called Ace. His mother used to call him Skippy, and his dog (who always came in heat, looking for soldiers with strong feet themselves looking for the ladder) called him Prince. Which always seemed odd to the guy, since he wanted to be referred to as "Deuce"...Go figure. In any case, this guy (let's call him Ace for the sake of simplicity) happened to be an amazingly gifted piano player, and had a weird passion for the color purple... On to you guys [This message was edited Thu Dec 11 6:42:27 PST 2003 by DaFunkFreak] There are no kings on this Earth, only Princes

Cloudbuster said: IMO, he died because: (1) he started socializing with Tony M, (2) released "Graffiti Bridge" and "Diamonds and Pearls" (the songs), (3) became a JW (which makes him a "new born" by the way , and (4) dated Mayte. After long years of purgatory (as evidenced by "Rave Into the Joy Fantastic" - still can't believe he covered "Every Day is A Winding Road"...), he decided to quit the music business and now is a Wal-Mart cashier. Ace in "SCHOOLYARD" was Andre Cymone (A.C.). Just to clear that one up. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018.
