Does anybody remember when album tracks appeared on 7" singles but split over two sides?

I used to play the B Side of "A Love Bizarre" more than the A side.

I think the last 7" to do this was Alphabet St. The A side faded out on the last "yeah" (before the Scotch-tape edit), then the B side started with "Cat! We need U 2 rap!"
