what if you had been introduced to prince through the various bootleg outtakes ,albums, and concert cd's.Then ,you were issued the "official" studio albums.Do you think you'd like the boots more than the released albums?Which category of Prince music impresses more?is it seperate but equal?

I know the studio albums helped give a frame of refernce for the song. Some of his live performances are more "jammy" in nature.he often changes the arrangement of songs year after year. And I love his record work.

I really wonder, though. How strong is over the other?I am a huge fan of live recordings.I like the freedom you hear and the energy. There are outtakes I listen to alot, but more recently,I have been listening to live boots. The collection of outtakes I put together as an album I wish was released is in the mix, too. But the concerts have been jamming me.(I also have been listening to "Under A Blood Red Sky" by u2 alot, too. And the live in Ireland dvd is incredible)I can safely say that over the past year,at least,aI have listened to live boots more than released studio albums.
